About the Role
As a News Writer at TBS, you will be instrumental in shaping our editorial content. You'll be responsible for researching, writing, and editing compelling articles that resonate with our target audience across our core coverage areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking media organization.

Compensation: Competitive
Content Creation: Research, write, and produce high-quality, engaging news articles, features, and analyses on topics spanning tech, business, finance, and lifestyle.
Accuracy and Fact-Checking: Ensure all content is meticulously researched, fact-checked, and adheres to the highest standards of accuracy and journalistic ethics.
SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to ensure content is discoverable and ranks well on search engines, maximizing reach and engagement.
Timely Delivery: Meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced news environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with editors and other team members to brainstorm ideas, refine content, and maintain a consistent editorial voice.
Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of the latest developments, trends, and breaking news in the tech, business, finance, and lifestyle sectors.
Education: A First-Class or 2:1 undergraduate degree in Economics, Law, Business, Finance, or a Science-based subject.
Language: Fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Writing Experience: Proven experience in writing, ideally within a news, media, or digital content environment. A strong portfolio demonstrating your writing abilities across relevant topics is a significant advantage.
Research Skills: Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and engaging narratives.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit different topics and target audiences.
